A great dane will try to sit on you and will succeed. They were bred to hunt boar, which is difficult to believe watching one hide from a plastic bag. The hard truth is the lifespan — eight years is a good run — and bloat is a genuine emergency risk that every owner learns to watch for.
Meet Zeus
Great Dane × Golden Retriever mix, enormous broad head, soft floppy ears, deep warm soulful eyes, wide forehead, the physical scale of a small vehicle but the emotional warmth of a sunrise. Genuinely believes he is the same size as everyone else. Loves everyone so completely it becomes structural damage. Very sorry about the lamp. Will be very sorry about the next one too.

Why the great dane works as stencil art
