Dobermans look like the most serious dog in the room and are very often the softest. They were bred by a tax collector who wanted protection on his rounds, and the alertness is real — but so is the leaning. A doberman will put its entire body weight against your legs and stay there. They are sensitive to tone, prone to genuine anxiety, and many of them are frightened of thunder.

Why the doberman works as stencil art
All the drama is in the head. The sharp muzzle, the cropped or folded ears, the tan points above the eyes — those markings act like built-in highlights, so the stencil gets its structure for free.
